The American University of Paris was first founded in the 1960′s and today the University provides students with American undergraduate and graduate programs in an urban setting. The University offers students the ability to learn with an innovative pedagogical model that combines the use of classroom learning and hands-on experience. These programs include a Masters in International Affairs, Masters of Arts in Cultural Translation, and a Masters of Arts in Middle East and Islamic Studies.
The University’s goal is to educate each of its students so that they are able to communicate effectively within a world of many languages, to think critically about history and culture, and to develop creative approaches to today’s challenges. One of the great advantages of studying at the American University of Paris is that the city of Paris is literally your classroom. The University is spread around the Eiffel Tower and students will utilize such museums as the Louvre in order to enhance their studies. Students are encouraged to readily take part in sightseeing in Paris and using its architecture, history, and culture to add to their education.
The American University of Paris has multiple accreditations. It is accredited in the United States by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and is also licensed by the State Board of Education of Delaware. The University is a non-profit educational institution and is even registered in the United States as so.
